Tax due on a 55 plate S2000.

As per attached, the V11 reminder already states a ridiculous £198 for 6 months and £360 for the year.

Went to pay online and the site says £217.25 for 6 months and £395 for the year. A ludicrous increase.

I note the V11 states the rates of duty are correct at time of print. If a change in budget, you may need to pay a different rate.

Since issuing the V11, there has been no change in budget in reference to RFL.

Of course, I’ve tried the total waste of time that is the DVLA. The message says we’re too busy right now, try again another time.

It’s a liberty at the V11 rate, let alone the revised rate on the Gov site.

Any ideas as to what’s occurring? Thanks.

Thieves 🙄

Thanks for clarifying team.

Yes, part of the reason for buying the 55 plate was for the cheaper rate, however not sure I can justify keeping it if the rate climbs again. And for what, the roads/infrastructure in Guildford and the southern villages are horrendous.

In reality it’s only gone up £3 per month. Hardly worth even worrying about in the grand scheme of things
Bit harder to justify when I’ve been out of work since November.

SORN it for 6 months of the year and you've saved yourself £££
Good point.. I like to keep operational unless roads are salty. May have to in the winter if a career/job doesn’t materialise.
