How can I find out what trim level the above mentioned car is, it belongs to a friend and they have asked me to try and find out the value of it, trouble is, when you go on to any of the valuation sites they have about a dozen trim levels, all giving different values.
Or if anyone knows approx value, then please let me know, 06, 36K miles, well loaded, with sat nav.
Thanx.

Surely to God they know what car they actually bought - where's the paperwork from when they bought it?
If there's no Type S on the rear, it's not that.
If there's no leather seats or panoramic roof, it's not the EX.
If you email me through my profile, I'll send you the pdf brochure, or you can go to the DVLA site, type in Reg and VIN details, and that'll give you the model, which the original owner may've spec'd the Nav option, and any different wheels.

I had a 2006 Civic and the spec went as follows from memory (Feb 2006 orders):
SE - 16" alloy wheels, climate control
Sport - adds 17" alloys wheels and HID lights
ES - adds glass roof, cruise control, dual-zone climate control but drops the 17"s for 16"s and no HID lights
EX - adds basically both Sport and ES kit with 17" wheels plus satnav but no glass roof.
I think SatNav was an option on most models. Honda changed the spec very quickly, for instance some Sport models had front fogs and leather steering wheel offered as a free upgrade six months or so into the production run then it was made standard. The glass roof was available as an option later on.
