Considering fitting a modified S2000 engine to a BMW compact rally car. It has to remain normally aspirated and be reliable. Any recommendations? What sort of torque and power could be achieved? Thanks.

The S2000 engine spins counterclockwise, I'm not sure if you've taken that into account otherwise you will have 1 forward gear and 6 reverse wink

Have you considered a K20A ? You can get those up over 300bhp NA with internals and remap

This would be a good place to start for either the F20C or K20A

Edit - also look at http://www.clockwisemotion.co.uk/index.html as they specialise in Honda engine conversions into Lotus. You won't have the same kind of restrictions in under-bonnet space we have in the Civic's so you may be able to squeeze a nice set of ITB's with long velocity stacks in

The honda s2000 engine doesnt spin the wrong way btw
