Is £7k on a 2006 onwards 2.2 i-CDTI Sport or ES enough?

Guys I'm looking at selling my MX5 and quite like the civic in 2.2 guise however is 7k enough to get a car with less than 60k on the clock in decent trim? or am I looking at a world of trouble?

You could always spend £3k/£4k on a cheaper day car and then £3k on a fun MX5.
unfortunately insurance is too expensive to get two cars, and doing that many miles I don't fancy been in something thats not safe and reliable. plus im young so plenty of time in the future for even more fun cars.

We've just bought an '06 2.2 i-CTDi for lower than your Budget. having problems with the used car dealer, but hugely impressed by the car, it pulls well and it's a lot quicker, and better than we expected. Very comfortable, the magic seats are, well....magic! Huge amount of room in them - who needs an Estate car?
get one, you won;t regret it.
