I've had my heart set on a facelift EP3 for ages now,and by the end of next month Ill have saved enough to buy one for around £6K...

Then I've started seeing '07 FN2's for around the £9K mark...

My heart says EP3,but the FN2's interior does look awesome.I could get a small loan for the other £3K,but I'd like to know your opinions pls...EP3 or FN2?

I saw a grey EP3 in the car park yesterday and thought it looked dated. The FN2 looks so much better IMO.

I think the EP3 is dynamically the better prospect, but have to agree that it is looking dated now. FN2 interior is in a different league to an EP3

Yeh I lways liked the EP3, and after seeing one in the colour I used to think was great just 5 years ago looked dated.
I actually quite like the DC5 Integra and they have been around a few years.

I agree the FN2 looks more current, but I could live with an EP3...hell an EK9 still looks hot to me,I just personally don't want a car that old or with that sort of mileage...

I don't have proper internet at the moment, otherwise I'd have researched myself...but didn't an EP3 give an FN2 stick around the TG track a few years ago?

If your that fussed about the interior get a Golf.

EP3 is the better car. Spend the 6k on one, and 3k on some wicked mods, or a DC5. biggrin

If the OP wants a Fn2 or Ep3, i seriously doubt he's gonna want a DC2, to raw, and loud. The DC5 is a good compromise IMO and the EP3 if you want the breadvan.

9k is cheap for a Fn2 isn't it? is that what the older one's sell for now?

Unless you're regularly on the track and driving the car at 90% +, an EP3 is just as good as the DC5.

You will get a more for your money with an EP3 in comparison to a DC5's and the insurance is considerably higher due to being import only. I've driven a number of 5's and agree the steering feel is better than the EP3, but paying £3k plus for an older car with higher mileage isn't worth it. I'm sure people will reply arguing against my post, but if the two cars were on a track, it would be 100% down to driver ability as to who was quickest. Nothing else.

The DC5 is a very good car, but value for money you will not go wrong with a well looked after EP3 and that will be within your budget.

I've owned mine quite a while now and whilst there's plenty of other cars I'd like to own the EP3 still ticks all the right boxes. Look on the Honda forums, people that have owned K20 Honda's move on to Evo's and the like but they frequently come back to the Red H.

Yup,there again,I think the DC2 is an awesome machine, but I need a car I can use everyday for journeys sometimes in excess of 200 miles...plus I reckon I'd struggle to find a lower mileage DC2...

DC5 is good too,but I'm not really after an import with higher insurance...looks like its leaning towards what I kinda already knew.............

Get a premier edition ep3, there available at between £6-7.5k and the seats on them are really nice!!
They seem to hold their value very well, so residual value when selling shouldnt be too bad!

As long as the premier comes in Milano Red medhi...

I've decided red is the color I'm after, but the Milano Red EP3's seem to be much fewer than the other color options from what I've seen...ah man, roll on next month,I can't wait!

Interesting comments above re: DC2/DC5 - standard vs standard I'd say the DC5 is harder to live with:-
- (much) stiffer ride
- no quieter
- same seats
- less feedback
- no more toys

Granted the interior is a much nicer place to be in the -5, but that's about it.

Back to the OP - depends if you want something to have fun driving or something you can enjoy more 'day-to-day' - IMHO the EP3 will be the better drive when pushed, but the FN2 will be a little more 'rounded' for everyday use - nicer interior, sharper exterior. Much like DC2 vs DC5, actually...

You must be deaf Havoc in your old age. biggrin

True the DC5 is harsher, but you can change the springs. it would make a better daily IMO. Easier engine to live with as well. The 5 has a nicer interior like you say, and dials, etc, but it's not a patch on a FN2, still better than EP3 though.

How big is the DC2 boot? Similar room inside cabin?

I disagree on the EP3 Vs DC5, on the road, there wouldn't be much difference between the 2, but there would be more on track, 185bhp/tonne vs 166 for a start and better brakes. it's all up to the individual at the end of the day, the 5 is in no way a much better car than a EP3, it's just does everything better, and look at it, it looks a million times better and it's rare, so thats nice, and yes i have had both.

The insurance is more, but depending on your age, and location, not to bad at all, and it has cheaper tax, mines £205, the CTR is £245, so put that 40 quid on insurance. biggrin

Milano red is a very nice colour, a friend of mine has one on his ep3, but alot of them suffer from paint fade which is a real shame, thats why i didnt get a milano red!! I would also consider the cosmic grey, that colour is nice, and they are alot more rare then the black! and people seem to want grey and black ep3 the most from what i can see.
