honda ep2

im going to look at a honda ep2 1.6 sport 51 plate on saturday

is there anything i should be looking for on these cars
ie common faults

Leaking boots.
Open the boot and check that the roof lining hasnt come away from the car. Also lift the boot mat and check for mold/damp spots on the wooden board underneath.

Could just be my car but a little annoying.

Seems about on price for age/mileage/condition.

You'll love the heated seats, mind you its only the base but makes all the difference in winter

We've got an 02 plate EP2. It's a great car - just don't expect Type R performance!

Check the state of the air-con radiator (forgotten the technical name). After spending several hundred pounds getting it replaced at an independent garage I was told it was a known fault at Honda and many dealers replace free-of-charge.

The only other thing I can think to check would be the front seats. Our passenger seat's developed an irritating squeak and the drivers seat wobbles very slightly (I think a bearing has gone).
