I have an issue with an 05 reg CRV i-Cdti engine. The gear that drives the CP3 diesel pump is not turning the pump. what sort of job it is to change or repair it. The diesel pump seized, so I replaced that only to find that when it seized it snapped whatever drives it off the camshaft. The key-way in the head that drives the pump appears to be slightly lower and offset to the cam so I'm hoping it's a chain (or sprocket) drive to the gear from the cam, and not that the cam itself has snapped. Problem is that as they are usually so reliable, no one knows anything about the innards. So on the off chance....Anyone here have any ideas? I can't even fine an exploded view of one to look at, and being V-tec also, I don't want to lift the rocker cover off and everything goes ...Pinnnggg all over the show.
Any ideas?
