EP2 civic owners

Deciding whether or not to sell my fiesta and go for the 1.6 civic sport, just wondering if there are any known problems with them, I know of the gearbox bearings.

I would also like to know what mpg figures people are getting.

I have an '02 EP2,had it for a bit more than 2 years,bought with 60k miles,now has 79k,only ever been to the
garage for services and MOT's...selling mine soon,but only because I want an EP3!

The heatshields on the exhaust are a common problem,they rust through,come loose and vibrate horribly...easy fix,take it off,or buy a new one...mine did it,removed and problem solved.

No problems with mine whatsoever. Owned for 2 years, bought with 32k mile, now up to 50k.

Build quality is really very good for what it is. I had a mk4 golf before my civic and the civic build quality is far superior all over the car.
Engine is absolutely bullet proof. Driving position is brilliant as is the position of the gear stick.
