Hi guys!

Anyone know a suspension geometry specialist in/near east midlands??

I'm after some advice on tuning my suspension on my EP3 Civic. It seems to bobble and bounce around too much on some B roads. Hopefully some tweaking can get the car a bit more complient so it can be pushed without the feeling that the car is trying to throw you off the road!

I've always thought the CTR was a good setup for a smooth open road, but when things get bumpy, it's less confidence inspiring.

Any thoughts, experiences or recommendations would be great!

Cheers chaps!

On anything apart from glass like roads the ep3 is very `skitish`as you say .

Especially over b-roads,

I had mine setup at a place in norwich (www.autotest.com).

Geo setup will not cure this though. Will make the car feel nicer to drive quickly over smooth roads though (make it easy to oversteer on turn in etc.)

What did you have done? Any new components needed?

You need some rear camber adjusters

http://www.funkypower.co.uk/catalogue.php?make=HON...

The fronts are already adjustable IIRC

ETA:

Most of the guys on owners forums say it's well worth it, and probably the first mod to consider on an EP3

lolwut? How are rear camber adjusters going to help his problem on bumpy B roads? Reducing spring rate and rebound will help but sounds like OP would be happier with a Mercedes Benz

Bolts are needed for the front and camber arms are needed for the rear.

They are both easy enough to fit if you have a socket set and a jack.

Both can be bought from abp for around 100 quid + setup

I had my rears toed in 1.5mm with 1 deg of neg camber, fronts had 1 deg of neg camber and toed out 1.5mm.

I found the ride on my EP3 improved dramatically on bumpy roads when i fitted a set of Eibach lowering springs. They only lower ~15mm as well so no clearance problems at all, the springs are a lot less crashy than the standard ones.
