Hi all, asking a question on behalf of my Dad whose a bit stumped by a problem on his car.

Its a 2004 Accord, and the passenger side windscreen washer has stopped working. Initially we assumed it to be because of the cold weather, and that the water was frozen. But the driver side one is working perfectly fine. We tried to unblock the washer itself in case the outlet had something covering it, but still no water comes out.

In truth, the driver side doesn't seem to have much pressure behind it either.

I was wondering if anyone had encountered the same problem and found a cure at all? Would rather not take it to a garage but otherwise we're stumped!

Cheers,

I'll have a look at mine tomorrow, but I'd have thought the tubing connecting the jets to the bottle contents should be removable, which means you could check for a blockage - which it has to be, if not a leak/off the jet.
There's nothing between the pump and the jets to fail, so if the driver's one is grand, then the problem lies at the splitter and the passenger's tubing.
I wouldn't bet against a bit of slushy water still in there.

Thanks for the response, i'll have a look under the bonnet and see what's going on under there!

if you have the headlight washers fitted they sap the screen wash from the screen so you get reduced pressure at the jets.

They only activate when the headlights are on, on the EX/Executive because of the law regarding Xenon headlights.
