Any one know the top speed for a standard DC 5 type r ( without speed limiter) ? I'm guessing just north of 150 mph

A DC2 type r will do that if I'm not mistaken and the DC5 has better top end than it's predecessor

no limiter as i understand. They make peak power about 7.5k and apprent top speed of 146 but redline is about 8.5k so still another 1000rpms left in the box.

I'v had over 150 (verfied) in my Civic type r

More like it alright iv heard from one or 2 people that they will nudge 160 with the right conditions verfiried by apexi rsm apparently but the cars were modified a bit in fairness

mines running about 20bhp more then standard, and i overtook a BMW 330I on the autobahn at a very very slow rate, but he was sat on his limiter...... It did take about 8 miles of driving at foot to the floor...

They are pretty slippery cars EP3's and DC5's. Just look at the new RS for a overall shape/size compared.... they apprently do 163 mph or though no one has managed it yet in a stock car......

My 1st DC5 pulled 163mph on the clock and all it had was Toda Manifold & Spoon Middle pipe. I put a video on Youtube years ago, type in : DC5 163mph AutoBahn

That only ran 225hp, my others ran 240 - 247hp and they hit 16 indicated. Speedo's are only a couple of mph out on these.

Good for a 2.0 N/A.

10% speedo error.

160 on the clock is 146 mph on GPS, have done this a number of times in my Civic

Jay, 160 on the clock is gonna be a hell of a lot less in reality. Ive tested it a bit with my Sat Nav, and the speedo was reading about 150 and i was actually doing 138, thats the quickest ive gone.

I reckon it will do 150, no more though. The spoiler isn't going to help top end..............

Back in the early days of the Teg, someone posted a pic of them achieving 170 down a hill with a tail wind on an autobahn so thats still 153 and from the few times ive managed to get to a gps 140 (on track) it was still pulling
