Help required re:DC2...

I'm sorry, did a search but couldn't find anything.

I've been setting my valve clearances today. .007 on intake and .008 on exhaust.
Got it to TDC and set both intake and exhaust on bores 1&4. Then turned it over until pistons 2&3 were at TDC and set those.

Fired her up and she is running like a bag of nails.

Can someone tell me do you have the feeler gauge between the cam lobe and the arm? Or was i supposed to set it from under the adjuster.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Or any link on how to do it properly.
