Poor idle on Prelude

Hello,
I was driving rather enthusiasticaly yesterday, on a pretty poor track road. Really bouncing the car about and flat out through gears etc.
When I stopped the car shaking slightly on idle. Even when revved gently its not running smoothly like it did prior to me ruining it.
Ive checked and cleaned plugs, nothing unusual, cleaned leads and replaced, then checked everything it attatched, found nothing loose but still the same. Its effecting starting too, as it was spot on prior to this now it turns over a few turns before starting.

Has anyone any ideas or past experience of this?

Last time I had a car do this it was a tooth out on my Charade GTti cambelt as the dealer was useless and messed up a cambelt change. Could it of slipped??

It was the valve clearances that caused it.
Sorted now
