Looking at replacing my 2.0 ivtec CRV but noticed the new model engines are only single cam rather than double.

Surely this is a step backwards in efficiency and refinement.

Any one know any engineering reasons why they have done this?? Although I suspect it saves some pennies.

I see that, but I suspect its different to the old SOHC engines, as its still a 4v per cylinder engine.
