Ive just been and seen the new CR-Z and I have to say it looks fantastic. Really reminds me of me old CRX.
The salesman pointed out that although it does look similar thats where the similarities end as its not supposed to be a sports car.
Shame as the finish and build is good, in fact the white one in the showroom (Portsmouth) had every extra.
They are 124BHP and the GT is slower than the S because of the wieghted extras but they basically hit 60 in 10 seconds. Rubbish, and still only 55mpg, which any decent diesel will do anyway these days. The rear seats are just 2+2 so dont buy it for lugging people in the back but the worst bit, the price....now sit down.....
£21749 plus £430 for paint plus extras!! in fact the salesman couldnt even give a price for the showroom model as they are not 100% sure on the extras, but I bet you will be near the 25k mark and that is just stupid.
Shame because I really like the styling and build quality. I think people will buy it, but its just not worth that much.

the crz is a joke, plan and simple. like you said you can buy a diesel car with lower emmissions, better mpg, and superior performance for a lot less money-if i want a pretty coupe (which the crz most certainly isnt)with decent mpg and had 20-25k to WASTE id take a look at the peugeot rcz hdi.or even a citroen ds3 hdi! personally i lost interest in honda when they stopped making the nsx and s2000 and told us they wouldnt be replaced.
Have you read the Evo article on the car? CR-Z has similar ish mpg to the Ibiza and Scirocco in the EU tests, but actually beat both in their real world motorway, b-road and urban crawl tests. From a mag dedicated to driving and happily admitting to not liking hybrids they actually seemed to like it.
My company favours Hondas on the car scheme, so I am interested to see if these will become available, I think they will kick backside on P11D.

I thin the price quoted was a top spec model from a brief glance at the price list. My experience with the Hondas I have specced up for company car use is that the standard spec cars tend to have loads of kit on them already.
Not cheap, but then I think most car companies are losing money on bringing cars to the UK. The weak pound means some are losing money hand over fist on every car sold. Perhaps Honda decided they wouldn't?

Looked at one on Sat,top spec, white with carbon bits (sport model) £24.500 OOPS not for me at that price,to be fair it looked good, but out and out two seater with no real go (guess you dont buy it for that)
At least £7000 to dear for me though,so will give it a miss.
1.5l honda for £25k? lol.At least £7000 to dear for me though,so will give it a miss.
Mini Aston is 1.3l for £30k - when released.
New trend, pay more for less. Honda is not quite Aston... ;-)
