Quick question people, can the roof on the S2000 be adjusted? Seem to be getting significant wind noise from the front of the roof and when being closed it doesn't seem to pull tight?
Cheers.

I suspect the striker-plates have worn.

To answer your question:-
- there is no adjustment
- but a common fix is to put rubber 'collars' around the shaft behind the 'hook' (there's already a small rubber collar there), which then pulls the hood a little tighter down against the windscreen surround.

The cheap fix (or to check if it works) is to put some folded card behind that 'hook' (where the collar would go) and see if it solves the problem.

Yep, I'm pretty sure it can. Google for 'S2000 workshop manual' and download a copy for details of how to adjust.

And as much as you dislike www.s2ki.co.uk all the niggly things like this have been seen before and details of how to fix can be found on there.

ETA - havoc's fix is the one I was thinking of, thought it was something involving the plates/catches.

BBeef Havoc is right do not bother trying to adjust the roof it is your striker plates that are attached to your header rail that are worn. Go to your nearest Honda dealer and order 2, not hard to put on and will transform the noise. The only adjustment available at the front is these plates as it is them that the roof attaches to the header rail where the wind noise is coming from. The roof is not pulling tight when closed as there will be play in the worn plates. No amount of roof altering at the hinges will alter the front fitment as such.

That's probably the better fix. I didn't know how expensive they were!

Thinking about it, wasn't there a mod one guy did to elongate the holes in the plates on the catches to clamp them slightly further back to give a tighter seal?

If you have not bought the strikers yet, it is probably worth while getting the uprated strikers used for the hardtop.
These are more substancial and take up more of the slack if the "hook" of the locking clasp is worn.
I used these on my 1999 model and it worked nicely.
