Don't buy an S2000 if you want drag races and straight line speed.
They aren't built to cope well with that and aren't that quick.
They are good at corners and roof down blasts!

It WILL be quicker in a straight line than a CTR, but not by a huge amount and it'll take more skill to drive it anywhere near the limit. Buy a Scooby or an Evo for that sort of stuff.
The S2000 is light, very agile, and sounds great!
On the road and with unknown drivers I would suggest that there won't be anything between the two, and you shouldn't be racing on the road anyway
The Civic is very easy to drive quickly (my ex had one) whereas with the S2000 you're always a little but worried about the back stepping out

But the S2000 was much more of an event to drive than the CTR. Depends if you want to cover ground quickly or have fun while covering ground. The Civic is very easy to drive quickly (my ex had one) whereas with the S2000 you're always a little but worried about the back stepping out
The S2000 back end does not step out if you have it set up properly and drive it correctly.
I've done 17k miles with 418 BHP in my supercharged one and only ever lost it on the track.
It's alos not a great drag car, all the power is top end and the drivetrain does not take well to "punishment"

Correct Used to own a ctr jdm but was wk so sold it 1 month later and got a sl company car as i now work for Mercedes Benz U.K Milton Keynes however the car is going back in 10 months and what to get a s2k so long as its not like the ctr
Explain why it was wk?Your clueless
Why not look at the JDM FD2 version?
Soften the suspension, and away you go.
Has all the right credentials for outdragging your friends' CTR's, and would be nigh on par with the S2000 for cornering thrills, etc.
Functional as well in the event you need to transport something or a couple of friends/family.

ive had both, the ctr is a decent hot hatch but the s2k is a proper sports car, if your worried about the back stepping out then maybe you should stick to fwd or learn to drive. personally i love the s2k and have just sold my elise and boxster to buy another
