prelude help please !!

Hi all ! I need a bit of help if possible please...I have just bought a 1992 2.2 SI prelude and trying to find out which BHP engine it is ! it is an import with H22A0778 engine number ? and also I need to fit it to a manual box for short cicuit racing [autograss] could anyone tell me which box is best off an older car as this is on a fairly low budget ..any help would be appreciated thank you !

does it say vtec on the rocker cover? If it does, its 197bhp.

if it doesn't, its a non-vtec with 160bhp.

edit - just noticed engine number H22... It'll be 197bhp.

Best tranny to go for is the M2B4 comes with LSD as standard and is pretty bulletproof from stock. These are to be found in 4th gen Jap imports mainly the Si-VTEC

This will give you the ratios for the different boxes that will fit the H22

You can also buy different final drives if you want even lower ratios.
