I owned a EP3 in the past. It was a great cat but the steering was a bit strange just either side of straight ahead and not really full of feel at the rest of the time. Other than that it was great.

Am thinking of going back to EP3 becuase I might need to replace mt current 2 seater with a hatch and I want to replace my hillclimb / sprint car at the same stroke. I could compete in the up to 2 litre standard class in a JDM Civic. If a s2000 turns up I've got no hope but in my club they don't very often (and they don't have good steering feel either, in my expirience)

But JDM cars have hydralic steering don't they? And a few extra bhp.

As far as I'm aware the JDM EP3 has the same (awfullly unreliable) electric rack as the EU version. The only model I'm aware of with a mix of electric/hydraulic racks was the previous Accord.

JDM has a LSD fitted, slightly higher rev limit and 220bhp opposed to 197.....

I must be missing something on the steering front though... always heard of the "duff Steering" (EVO) but it has never hampered me tbh...... can't be any worse then the bloody clio 182 i had last week....

The reason for the electric pump is yaht its better for performance as the hyd pump runs of a belt attched to the engine via a pully system

Indeed. Was the non Type-R Integra of the same age fitted with an electric rack?
