Differences in the engine, inlet & exhaust manifolds, suspension, lights, a limited slip differential and gear ratios for starters.

ATB type differential.

Slightly shorter 4, 5, 6 gear ratios.

Slightly thicker rear anti-roll bar giving slightly livlier rear end.

I'd say it would only be worth the premium to a UK car if you really wanted it for the colour (Championship White).
The other differences are either cheaper done to a UK car, or not particularly important.

(Assuming a JDM car + import car insurance will cost you more than the price of a UK car + UK car insurance + quaife diff + JDM rear ARB).

Its going to be used mainly as a track car really, i quite like the exclusivity of the JDM version as well.

Why? im going to be doing mainly spa and ring trips with it, i would rather take a fwd car then if the weathers ste you can still have some good track time instead of having to take it easy in a rwd car.

EP3 is a great car for driving to a track, tracking, then driving home in.
If you haven't already done so, get yourself on:-

Helpful, friendly bunch who have been going for years, but are always welcoming to new members.

ETA: most of the EP3 guys 'n' gals have Quaife or Kaaz diffs, plus track-orientated coilovers. Breathing mods on one UK EP3 has seen it producing 240bhp+
It's also stripped out, losing about 150kg net (after roll cage added)
So no need to go JDM, as I say....unless its something you really want to do.

You said "a track car" - the N'schleife is hardly a track, and Spa isn't the most common circuit to visit due to time and money constraints - a day at Spa would cost me at least 2x as much as a day at S'stone/Donny/Oulton etc.

...and why would you "take it easy" in a rwd car at Spa?!? I can understand a degree of reticence at the N'schleife, but then I'd employ nearly the same degree in the wet in fwd as well...so for a track car I'd STILL buy rwd...

Im looking for advice on an ep3 jdm civic not arguing over rwd and fwd, i have owned mainly rwd cars including my current car. The ring although technically a toll road is still like a track. On a soaking wet day 99% of rwd cars dont see where a decently setup fwd car has gone unless of course you are a bloody good driver.

For the purposes im going to use the car a fwd jdm ep3 sounds pretty dam good and cheap as chips to run after my noble which is what i need. Open to suggestions though so for 10k find me a bomb proof engined rwd car thats good for road use and track and is practical not going back down lotus route etc been there and although brilliant just not practical enough to carry stuff and leave parked up anywhere.
