I have been reading up on the CL7 Chassis Euro R and am quite intrigued by it. Does anyone here own one? I would like to know how these drive and how good they could be to live with as I have never seen one (if they are) in the UK as of yet.

Pop over to http://www.accordr.org/ a lot of helpful chaps and someone over there has one.

Exactly the same as the '03-'08 2.0 Accord and 2.4 Accord - the main thing about the Euro R was/is the engine, the K20A

Nice. I've read the stats are similar to the DC5 as it has pretty much the same gear. Was just thinking about it for sometime in the future as I am going to be able to purchase 2 cars (one for Mrs TC, one for me) it would be a nice solid option to have. After loads of changes in requirements recently (divorce, irregular meeting with children, numpties in the family) I have managed to secure myself with her so transport was the first conversation after decisions on living (bless her). The Mrs can't bloody make her mind up though and she needs a license before that!

As far as I know, there is no model report for the CL7 in the UK, therfore you can't register one here. I understand that it is not a problem to bring one over to the Emerald Isle though.

Damn. So one would have to presumably be made for import?

You are looking at about £5000 for a model report, although once you have one you can then recoupe the outlay by renting it out to other people who would like to import a CL7. I was always suprised that one of the big Jap importers never got round to this, I guess there just wasn't the demand for the most recent Accord Type R.

I thought the import rules had changed as of this year? I was under the impression that the restrictions were no longer as tight as before and it was now possible to import a Euro R (or whatever) without having to blow £5k+ on a model report?

If so I'd love to know. It does sound to be a very good car. Well, youtube vids make it look good.
