Its ok . not brilliant but i didn't expect it to be. Pre-facelifts like this are set to run on RON-98 fuel only. At a guess i would say 28-32 MPGH average

Congrats on the new purchase chap. I remember your Red Primera and even considered buying it at one stage.

I am seriously thinking of buying an ATR to replace my modified Gti so I have a couple of questions if you don't mind:
How do you find the power/delivery in comparison to your old SR20?
Does the 2.2 have enough torque spread to keep the car shifting below 6k revs? My old Civic Vti was gutless before Vtec activated.

Doesn't seem too bad, it is a 2.2 after all. I guess a facelifted R would be a better option.

Thank you matey. the red GT sat on my drive for 6 months without moving. I picked up another GT as a runaround for a few months. It was the limited GTSE with the Mystic green chromoflair paint which has now been written off by the new owner.

In comparisson to the SR20DE motor , i would say this delivers the power better , like the SR20 motor most of the power is at the top end. If you plant your foot down when 6k RPM shows up you get one hell of a kick in the back and it revs all the way to 9K RPM , it is a very good solid motor.

Below 6K RPM i would say the torque band is fairly good , it does growl as you climb the revs but be aware torque steer itself can be an issue.

Handling wise , the ATR has the edge over a GT ( only just! ) Both excellent handling FWD cars and very fun to throw round corners.

Test drive a few mate and see whaat you think. Just be aware of pre facelift models like mine as they do suffer with 3rd & 5th gear synchro problems. Its about £800 to sort out so walk away if there is any crunching as you shift into these gears.
