i got my steering belt and alternator belt changed and now the car seems a little off! it shakes a little bit when i put the windows down or even turn the headlights on.. its not bad.. just the annoying shake feeling. also my after market exahust sounds more hollow and loader after the belt changes.. went back to the people that changed it.. as all ways they say its not ther fault.. (was the car working after you left) excuse!!! I'm going to give it couple of weeks and see if it goes back to normal.. any advice on what it could be! i've made sure that the belts are tight and secure. seems fine! any advice would help! might take it to a honda dealer in Enfield.. and see what they say! BTW Both belts are 'Gateshead' make I think!

Thanks Del! PreludeH22a8200

They havent removed or undone the side engine mount had they when they changed the belts?

If they had then it is likely that this hasnt been done up to the correct torque, or even done up properly, or even damaged the side mount.

If this is either case then there will be more movement from the engine and hence these problems you are facing.

That is the only thing I can think of that would be associated with the noise and these belts.
The mount 'may' have been removed for access.

Hope this helps.

Marc

yeah i think it is aswell. the car stalls if I don't rev the car to make it move(high rev's)! I got someone working on it again!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jpj6iU1o08

i put up a little clip! what happens is that if i stop at the lights and put the car in 'N' the rev bar drops all the way to the bottom and gives me the feeling its going to stall. but i put my foot down to keep it above 1000 rev! the temp bar is low but not really low! i've checked engine oil and everything ok!

any idea what the problem is! sorry about the poor vid. lolz!

thanks again!
