ATR engine price ??

My friend has a pre facelift ATR which sadly was written off due to a rear end shunt, he was stationary at some lights and a guy just drove in to the back of him at around 35mph. Obvioulsy the back end has damage but the front and more importantly the engine is absolutely fine. Ive purchased a few bits and pieces such as seats but he is wondering how much the engine is worth ?? It has around 52k on the clock with a full service history. What are peoples thoughts ??

Also what is the condition of the gearbox ?

I would say that was top book.

The car is in Chichester, West Sussex. As far as im aware the gearbox is fine, he was obviously driving the car up until the day of the shunt with no problems at all. I will endeavour to get pictures of it and any other info I can get too

Ive seen preluded engines go for much less than £1500, more like £500.
The H22 is basically the same engine so I would be supprised if the accord version was worth a huge ammount more.

Basically it is the same engine, but it isn't. If I was buying a SH car with a non A7 engine the cost would reflect.
