Honda Accord 2.4
Discussion
1. Buy the Executive. There are no handlng or performance downsides and the kit list is much, much better. The only hard part will be finding a manual 2.4 Exec.
2. The engine is fine, although the main power is between 6 and 7k rpm and you'll need to rev it hard to keep in the power band on up changes. Compared to other 4 cylinder NA engines it's absolutely fine lower down the rev range.
3. I ran one for 125,000 miles or so and the only problem I had was a knackered CD player, which cost £100 for Alpine to fix out of warranty.

Done about 1500 miles in my 2.4 type-s, 66k on the clock.
TBH its not badly spec'd (though haven't/didn't compare to the exec before buying)
Vtec doesn't come in until around 6k but tbh its got enough to get it going.
Exec comes with 16" alloys I think, S has 17" (Pentas usually).
Only criticism is the height - they ride like a 4x4 standard (though mines got Koni's/Eibachs now )
Go on THAOC , usually one for sale at any time, plus some honest reviews..
