my car turns off while driving.. not all the time.. sometimes! i was told its something to do with a relay..! which relay would it be and how do i change it! please help! thanks

Hi, I had the same problem and it was the ignition switch, they are prone to failing(£49 from Honda dealer).
The symptoms were that the engine would die and the car role to a stop with no power steering etc--a bit scary on the motorway. Quite easy to change once you get the steering column covers off.

thanks mate! thats really good info. hoping that should fix it.
what should i tell the honda dealer?
Now it takes some time to start the car again but it does start.! IT DID turn off on the M25 the other day doing 110MPH! crazy! thanks again!

Just tell the Dealer what model car, chassis no etc and they will sort.
I have a photos of the switch after I removed it then cleaned it up to keep me going until I had the replacement. I'll see if I can post them, I'm new to this forum so i might not manage it!

its ok.. i saw the picture! thanks mate. you saved me so much time i've replaced it. went down to a jap spare yard got a new one for £20. and fitted it my self. smile


not sure if you can see the burn! lolz. but once again mate thanks.

Glad to oblige.Keep the old one and clean it up.
I could not see the burns on yours but I remember mine being black!
It's a common fault.
