would civic type R back box exhaust fit on civic sport 1.6?

Hi, i have a 2004 Civic Sport, 1.6Vtec ep2 (type R Lookalike)

i need to change the back box(standard), would an original civic Type R back box fit on my civic sport????i believe they look the same, but i need to make sure if it fits???

I would say yes it will fit - the hangers will be in the same place. However what are the diamaters of the pipework, dies the Type-R have a larger bore?

i doubt if the bore is any bigger , but they do have the same fitment and shape!!! but then again i need to make sure

i phoned HONDA and I was told that they do look exactly the same and also they are both the same price, however they have different product numbers!!!

any more advice????
