Someone has either reversed their 4x4/van or kicked my bootlid. There is dinner plate sized dent righ around the Honda badge. As the paint is cracked I've been quoted around £300-350 to fix it properly, ie rear windscreen out, respray under seals etc.

I'm concerned that if I go ahead and get it fixed for this, someone could come along and do the same thing again, therefore I'm not too keen on spending as much money. Options are therefore, get cheaper quotes or replace bootlid with part from a breaking DC2. So question is, are UK and JDM bootlids the same part? Looking at pictures it would seem so, anyone know for certain?

The boot lid is the same but the glass on uk spec has a hole for the rear wiper, which more often than not, is not on the jdm glass as it was a factory delete option. Thus you will need to swap the glass, or delete the rear wiper! (or drill a hole in the glass?)

Thanks for that, I think switching the glass would be the cheapest option scratchchin

Now to find out if a replacement bootlid is cheaper than getting it fixed...

Got one for £60 from Michael at JDMConnect in Perth, delivered to Dundee. I'd definitely go to him again (fingers crossed its not for more replacements due to vadalism).

Switched it over yesterday. Pretty easy to do, its looking a lot better now.
