Just buy an ATR and save yourself loads of hassle, not sure about the ECU's I thought the ATR only has one.

There are a lot more differences between the normal accords and the r's so why have a comprimise which will you will never get decent money for.

By a tatty ATR and get it up to scratch, there are plenty about from 3.5k upwards. An ATR lump will cost you probably 1.5k, and thats assuming it isn't a dog.

Edit:

Pop over to accordr.org plenty of experts over there.

I thought that model's 2.0 VTEC engine was 148hp? Has yours been uprated in some way?

Indeed.

Also bear in mind the worth of the donor car, the cost of any conversion and the cost of buying an actual ATR.

It's not just the main items like the engine, either. Even the wheel hubs are different (5 stud rather than 4), amongst millions of other things...

If you can avoid it don't get a paddle clutch . You'll hate it if you do lots of stop start traffic.
