ep3 type r cutting out too early???????

my type r started too cut out at 4000rpm the last day wen i was in the vtec she just lost power any ideas wat the problem wud be

Checked your oil level recently?
VTEC requires good oil pressure or the engine won't play ball.
If all's okay there, I'd be looking to get the ECU codes read to see if what fault(s) have been recorded.
