97 JDM Integra R

Hopefully picking up one of these on Wed, but looking through the classified parts on PH I saw a spoon ECU which claimed to removed the limited top speed of 112mph. Please tell me that this isn't true, can my JDM Integra R really only do 112mph?

As title, a GENUINE spoon ecu for a honda any spec Integra TypeR DC2 DB8 B18C engine.

This ecu vtec engagement is 5100rpm and the rev limit to 9300rpm and removes the 112mph speed limiter.

JDMs have a speed limiter of 180 Kph or 112 mph as you have said.

Presumably the one your looking at has had the dials converted to mph with a little electronic joker somewhere (not sure how it works) which gives your speed in mph on the original dials. Therefore your new speed limit is now 180 Mph, even with VTEC you wont be troubling that!

As above.

All japanese imports are limited to 112mph as standard, but it's only an electronic speed limit and is easily removed. And as said above, if the speedo has been converted, then it will have already been removed.

no disrespect but it really worries me when people buy cars they no nothing about!!!

Can't see how you expect people to ever know anything about cars without asking someone or looking for info. I wasn't furnished with all the info bout every car at birth but maybe you were. If you look around on PH you will find loads of people posting for info on cars and how to do things to them.
