Insurance Claim Advice: Will it be written off? (EP3)
Discussion
A mate has been driven into recently in his 2005 55 plate EP3 and i'm just having a scout around the interent for replacements, as I think there is a good chance his car will be uneconomical to repair. I think the car is an Anniversary edition, it's black, was in very good condition before the bump and has covered 40,000 miles.
The accident as damaged the rear off side panel removing paint and denting it quite badly, it'll be a pull out, fill and paint job. Rear bumper will need to be replaced, the rear O/S wheel damaged, possibly bent and the suspension doesn't seem to line up. The chassis appears to have taken some of the impact too and may need re-aligning. The third party in question has accepted 100% fault as it was a pretty clear cut accident and the claim is being persued through the insurance companies.
Can anyone tell me the current top book price for one of these? They all seem to be around the £8/9k figure. With the limited information i've given above, what are peoples thought's on an uneconomical repair? I'd have guessed it'll be close to £7k total bill won't it?
Thanks
