Does anyone have any pictures of the interior of an NSX and also the engine compartment and cover etc?

It looks like a glass or perspex solid cover over the engine, how on earth does that stay cool?

vents in the side bring in cooling air IIRC

There is a parcel shelf arrangement over the engine and the rear windows are glass.

Engine cooling radiator is at the front so it's heat is taken away from the engine bay.

still got the factory workshop manual somewhere

Hmmm, interesting. It's just that with our Mr2's they require venting on the top of the engine lid and it pulls the air through to aid with cooling.

If the NSX is pulling air into the engine bay for cooling, where's it exiting the hot air out of?

Interested to know because i fancy a clear solid engine cover like that on the 2.

There is air entry/venting above the engine as well as the two side vents. At the base of the glass engine bay cover is a black "fluted" curved ventilation duct the full width of the glass cover.

I'm not convinced the standard engine cover is sufficient under hard driving. When I was at VMax on Sunday, my car was suffering on subsequent runs. I'm getting a cover similar to the one used on the Type R

I am not sure if the NSX-R cover will help your runs but it is a lot lighter and looks a lot better:

My best speeds were recorded after I had let the car cool down for a while. If I did a run and went round again, my speed was down - this didn't affect the other NSX (with Type R cover).
I've seen similar on dynos before I put the exhaust/intake on my car - the first run was always the best.
