i just found out that i have 1.6i vtec d16y2.. i've been looking all over the net for the original spec.. Example.. BHP? Torque..? and could any body tell me when the vtec should kick in.. might sound strange but.. the other day.. i was driving down the A406 going to ace cafe... stoped at the light. when taking off.. after 2000rpm.. the car just kept going to the red line and back changing gear in a blink..(auto)..doing 0-60 in most prbz 6sec.. it never done it before.. does any one have a clue.. some guy told me that my gear box could be wearing out.

hi i have a 1.6 v-tec manaul dont know about torque figures but they push out about 126bhp v-tec kicks in on mine at about 5000 revs yours probably kicks in quicker cause the revs are higher when changing gear with it being auto
