Used both. Renewed with both.

Admiral are a clueless incompetent bunch of limp-dicked mother-lovin' paperwork-obsessed computer-says-no half-wit fk-heads who couldn't find their arse with both hands, a map and a torch!

A-Plan are pretty good.

I went for a Go Compare search after my existing company tried to rip me off to the tune of £880!!!!!!!

Best I found was Swiftcover at under £400 but wanted some stability and went with Privelige in the end who were second best at £423, however, I am over 50 with light years worth of NCD, no no accidents or convictions.

Age does have some advantage.

I would recommed changing companies every year as an existing compamy will always try it on.

Another thing worth doing is getting quotes with decent companies via Quidco or Cashbackkings. Some are offering upto a £100 cashback - so if you get a good quote this is a bonus on top.

Cheapest quote for mine was £585 with swiftcover (27, 9 years NCB, 3 points) which I think is very good. also got £615 with admiral, then the rest were all above £800.

I know its an old chestnut, but every single quote I had was a minimum of £200 cheaper by having my girlfriend on there as a named driver. Worth trying a quote with and without to see if you can bring your premium down.
