Ipod hook up into orginal CRV radio?

I would like to ask if anyone has had any experience in hooking up an Ipod into the OEM radio on a 2003 Honda CRV, I would like to avoid the radio transmitter route, or the current cassette hook up, ideally using the line out connection on the Ipod directly into the radio, if such a connection even exists. never having taken any of the dashboard out to look at the radio, I'd like to see if anyone has tried this.
