So...is there any hope of a revival of their performance arm?!? One can only hope that Ito-san will revive his old passions...

The management shake-up marks the end of the six-year leadership of Takeo Fukui, 64, who is retiring having won plaudits for keeping Honda in profit at a time when other major Japanese automakers are into the reddespite piss1ng billions on a F1 team that only managed a couple of podium finishes.
It would be nice to see an S2000 replacement or proper CTR/ATR for the UK/EU market.

Fukui is also an engineer, he helped develop the oval piston bike racing engine amongst other things.

I think all Honda CEO's have been engineers since Mr. Honda.

That wasn't what was reported in The Times, and I understood that not to be the case also.

Are you sure?

Yes the Times story is not that clear, but they have all been engineers since the founder.
