since i find myself yawning (that wasn't a typo) over about latest 300bhp FWD hatch - what's the quoted 0-60 for the latest CTR - better still if you have performed your own measurements of said [pointless] statistic?

Under 6 seconds is the only 'official' stat you will see. This is what EVO published in their COTY 2007 awards and also what Honda claim. Plausible given the pace of the car but I would also be interested to find out for real.

If it's the JDM FD2 CTR it is around 5.7s..

I'm sure the FD2 was roadtested by one magazine at 5.4 seconds to 60mph, and the top speed is rumoured to be 160 mph. Apparently it makes more than its quoted 220 bhp (more like 240). I think one of these would give the latest Focus RS and Megane R26.R a run for their money. Very, very quick cars, and a proper Type-R unlike the crap we get over here these days. Almost a spiritual successor to the DC2.
