Has anyone ever used this for getting things done on older Hondas?

My 'lude needs it's cambelt done pretty soon, and at £195 it seems a fair price from my local Honda dealership. I'm assuming that covers the tensioner too? Or am I better going to a local indy?
I would do it myself, but having looked at what's involved decided against it

Check with the dealer about the tensioner.http://www.honda.co.uk/cars/owners/partsandservici...

I think the £195 price only covers the belt and labor, if you need any extra parts then they will charge you extra.
It might be worth getting a genuine Honda tensioner imported to save money, then ask honda to fit it.
As for going to the indy, if you trust them and they are cheaper then why not?
Im registered on Honda Happiness for my ATR. My cambelt price came through at 200 for belt and labour and about 126 quid for tensioner and fitting. Might have even been 363 in total (Was a couple of months ago!). Local trusted mechanic who I have used for years on previous vehicles will change it for 200 inc tensioner using a high quality cambelt kit.
Hi
I got my Honda prelude 1995 2.2 Vtec cambelt and tensioner changed with Honda Happiness, it came to around £295. £195 for the cambelt and an extra £100 for the fitting of the new automatic tensioner.
They also gave me a new Civic as a courtesy car for free to run around in for the day.
Got the car back and they had washed it and vacuumed the inside, so was totally happy with the result and the added receipts to add to the service history.

so out of interest what are the major bespoke units on the s2000? Admittedly I havent looked into the maintainence side yet but I'd be surprised if the brakes didnt come from elsewhere in the group as most jap cars share parts from the boggo "wish I'd done more at school " to the top of the range "loadsa money I must be a lawyer" cars.
No spark plugs I'm going to hazard are not unique, we have cam chains so theres a saving, the map sensor I'd hazard is shared with other cars as basically its a simple unit, the running gear hmm perhaps the box is unique and its one of the few rwd's they've made so guessing the diff is a s2000 one off in teh range unless its pinched from their 4x4s?
Either way I cant imagine there being any major component that is unique to teh S2k in teh entire range.... but await to be happily corrected (as to prepare the old wallet)

I was thinking about this after your previous post, and general servicing is no different to e.g. a CTR (same oil, same discs and pads, at least at the front, same plugs as ITR, cam chain so no servicing there).
Beyond that:-
- Engine largely S2000 specific, some x-over with the K20A.
- 'box and clutch S2000 specific
- Springs, dampers, wishbones, ARBs etc. all specific. Probably (some) bushes too.
So I guess it's nothing to do with the general servicing but more the 'maintenance repairs' that are offered under HH which would be too £££.
Oh...that and the relative newness / expensiveness of the S2000 to the rest of the Honda range, such that they probably thought that punters would prefer FHSH more, so there was less need to discount to get people with older S2000's in (vs people with older 'ordinary' Hondas).
