my lude started hesitating since last week, it ran out of fuel (fuel light didnt come on) filled it up and it was fine. a couple of hours later the car had no go in it, it struggles getting up to 3000rpm then after that it kicks back in then it goes slugish again, vtec still kicks in but the car just has no go in it since that day, the only other thing ive had done is a megan racing cat back system installed, and ive just installed ngk plats plugs, but the car is still the same. there s no engine check light. can anyone help as this problem is getting ambarasing as it struggles to pull of at lights. thanks

If you ran out of fuel there is always the chance that your fuel pump is now clogged up with sludge from the bottom of the tank.

Was the car running fine prior to this on the new plugs?

car has always run like a dream. ive changed my plugs while its been like this, when i changed my plugs it ran fine for about three mins the it started again, ive had a megan racing cat back system fitted and it was blowing really bad in the middle section, ive had that sorted now its running a bit better but its still hesitating between 1000rpm to 3500rpm. but i can feel it wants to go.

maybe it has nothing to do with the fuel pump then.

New plugs, new leads? New dizzy

Have you still got your old plugs?

Sounds like it might be the distributor to me.

If your going to buy a new one try and get a propper Honda one as some of the pattern distributors are poor quality.

im willing to bet the o-rings on the rocker cover are leaking and seeping oil into your spark plug wells.

well its just had a full service, and still got the problem, although ive noticed that it runs fine for the first 5 mins while its cold, then as soon as its up to running temp it starts hesitating, could it have anything to do with the megan racing system ive had fitted?

Full service and still has the problem, does the car start fine once its hot?

I dont see why the racing system would cause you any issues tbh.

Get it to a garage mate, thats your only option imo.

yes mate it starts fine when at running temp, and it revs fine. its just when it starts driving, looks like ill have to spend some more money and get it on the diaognostic machine.

I can, if this has anything to do with the air/fuel mixture it would be hesitant. Probably running too lean I belive.
