Afternoon guys, I'm after some advice from anyone who has/used to have this colour. At the moment I'm using that turtle wax 'extreme nano tech' wash n wax followed by the same brand of polishing wax, seems to be reasonable but just wondered if anyone had any other opinions on what's best.. thanks for any help.

Detailing world definitely the place to ask...IF you want to spend hundreds washing and polishing the car!!!

My 2p?
- microfibre wash mitt
- two bucket method
- Meguiars NXT car wash
- Meguiars alloy wheel cleaner with a decent (non-scratch) brush
- proper leather chammy

...and then any decent polish, and a wax with some carnuba content.


TBH though, the most important things are not getting any grit on the wash-mitt to scratch the lacquer, and chammying it dry properly afterwards...that'll keep the finish better/longer.

I'd say the same as Havoc but substitude the chamois for a waffle weave towel. Cham's go hard after a short while and become like cardboard so even when wet they create swirling.

You can't really go wrong with either Meguiars or Autoglym for quality on the cheap. Super Resin Polish seems to get a good rep on detailing world with blacks.

I use #16 Meguiars professional paste wax and get great results from that and SRP.

Thanks for the responses, I'll try some of the suggestions. I should have added, I have massive amounts of respect for detailingworld but it also scares me!
