looking for some advice,
i have a 98 vti-s i am looking for a outlet manifold dont know which
is the best to purchase a 4-2-1 or a 4-1.

4-2-1 for torque, 4-1 for power at high revs, if I remember rightly.

Beware of ground clearance issues with the 4-1. I wouldn't mind one on my EK but even the standard one grounds out on the stty local roads. frown

Not sure about that. The standard EP3 EU manifold is 4-1, if I remember correctly, and the standard JDM one 4-2-1. Neither have clearance issues.

Not sure that a 3rd party one would be any worse in that respect?

Car is lowered 80mm sniffing the ground and the suspension is not adjustable
so having doubts....

Thats because the exhaust manifold is at the rear of the engine. The B series are the wrong way round, the manifol exits and the front and tucks under the sump. Thus a 4-1 takes up a lot of space!
