Hi, can any one shed some light on my anoying clutch issue.

When cold the clutch feels light and smooth, this continues to be the case for the first 5 or so miles, then the clutch developes a slight 'squeek' and does not feel as smooth! the clutch releases fine and it engages gear as normal.

Could this be a potential problem with the slave cylinder, release bearing or clutch it's self? - it's not causing me any problems in terms of the drive, but it does annoy me slightly!

have you checked the fluid? Your clutch pedal may need oiling as well, doesnt sound too serious if the clucth is working fine.

I've checked the fluid levels, and oiled the pedal but the problems still there. I did look for the slave cylinder to apply some light oil to the piston - I could'nt find the cylinder, so came to the conclusion it was built into the gear box as on certain modern cars??

I go to work and back each day with no problem, but if I have been in the car for over 15 or so minutes I start to feel and hear the sqeak on the clutch pedal!

Slave cylinder is just behind the radiator on the nearside, you cant miss it really as it sticks out.
