Ran with T1-Rs on the back for 2 years, with no probs whatsoever.
Changed crappy 4th rate brand that came on it 14 months ago for Vredestein Sessantas, which didn't last as long as I'd hoped, and have been replaced with Falken FK-452s.
Hard to say with any real certainty, but the Falks definitely seem quieter than the Sessantas, but then with them running way past their "use by" date, it could just be the difference in having oodles of tread again.
Not put 100 miles on them yet, but early indications are very impressive on cold and/or damp roads.

Out of interest, how do the soft-sidewalled Pirellis feel on a heavy car like the Accord?

The T1-R IS a good tyre, but it's also a soft sidewall, which depending on what you're after (and what size wheels you're running) may/may not be a good thing.

I have to take issue with this Toyo bashing for having soft sidewalls.
Anything bar a Bridgestone will have soft sidewalls by comparison, but I found absolutely nothing about the T1-Rs negative in that aspect.
Admittedly it was on the arse end of the car, but 20K miles on a set with no issue or drama whatsoever, has them back on again.
This time, I'll run them at less than the 38 psi they were previously, and see if there's a difference.
100 miles in, and they're dead on, as are the FK-452s on the front.

Michelin Pilots
Conti-Sports
Eagle F1 Asymmetrics

I've personally driven on ALL of those and ALL have stiffer sidewalls (notably so) than the T1-R. So yes, it has soft sidewalls. I've got them on my S2000 at the mo', I should know...

I have toyos on mine and they are a soft tyre. The wear is pretty quick. It got rid of all the tramlining of the yokos that came with our and the 17 inch alloys tho. I will be looking somewhere else when they get to the wear bars.
