is this normall?

i have had my 03 civic type r for 4 weeks now,and the engine management light has come on twice, lucky i have a 3 month warrenty with the car.and the dealer has sorted me out with no problems, but they say that type of car is very sensitive and anything small will put the management light on,are they right or is there a bigger problem with the car? its been running fine as it happens.

Had my Type r 4 years and the engine management light never came on,is it a standard car or modified ?

mine came on [once] when the O2 sensor failed - happened just inside the 3yr warranty fortunately.

yes its a standard car, the first time the light came on it was a cat sensor which was replaced,light came on again today so dealer has taken it back to fix, just a bit miffed about it all really?

Did they reset the ecu,i have been told if you don't the light will still come on.

im not sure on that? the light came on the week after i brought the car,sent car back to be fixed. 3 weeks later light came back on so i cant imagine that it is to do with resetting of the ecu?

Problem with a reset is that you lose the original error codes, may make diagnosis harder.

Let them sort it, get info on what the error codes are.
