Free beer & NSX ride to owners of 2007 10 Spoke S2000 Wheels

I am planning to change the original wheels on my 1991 Honda NSX

Top of the list of preferences is the 10 spoke wheel available in 2007 on the S2000


Which if it fitted would make my car look like this



The dimensions of the wheels are just about perfect, the only worry is that they might catch on the brake calliper. No english speaking forum member anywhere in the world seems to have tried this particular S2000 wheel, but I am keen to with a view to buying some if they fit.

There are several beers and a decent passenger ride in it for anyone willing to let me try a front and a rear from their wheel on mine to see if it fits. Who knows I may just let them have a drive if they can show me proof of insurance.

I'm based in Southampton, but can travel to most places.

But you probably wouldn't want to try my 11-spokes...they're only 15" rims!

NSX wheels are larger on the rear than the front. (either 15/16 or 17/18, depending on year)
I don't know why you would want to have all the same size - it looks very odd, and it would seriously affect the resale value.
The same goes for the Honda Beat. Spoke to one numpty who told me that HIS Beat didn't have "odd-sized" wheels, so what was wrong with mine?

The NSX has had three different wheel styles: 91-94 15/16". 94-2001 16/17", 2002-2005 17x7 f, 17x9 r. The S2000 wheels are exactly the same size and very similar offsets as the wheels on the final generation of NSX. Did you think the NSX R looked 'odd' sliding round the Top Gear track? No neither did I. However Honda UK want £5600 plus tyres for a set of four OEM wheels (that's the normal ones not the lightweight type R ones).

The 16/17 package is notoriously under served for good tyres, and 17/18 after market wheels tends to adversely affect the ride. At the moment I'm looking for second hand OEM 17s in Japan, but would still be interested to try the 2007 S2000 wheels if anyone has any.

Thanks Gilla, but I won't be needing to now. I tried the wheels on at the weekend. The fronts require at least a 15mm spacer which I'm sure would wreck the handling so it's a no go.

unlucky mate - don't fancy letting me rag the hell out your nsx anyway do you :-) nearly bought one but bought the s2 instead as i was going to be doing far too many miles and couldn't find a decent one on the market at the time!!
