Hi.
im a bit of a newb with hondas so please excuse the dumb questions.

I've just got a 1996 civic 3dr hatch. It's got some nasty (in my opinion) 17" wolfrace wheels on it at the moment. what size would have been on it originally?
Are there other wheels from other honda models that would fit i.e. integra or s2000 or anything? any advice or anything would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Tim.

Most older Honda wheels use one of two PCDs (4-stud x 100 or 114.3, depending on car), but the offset may vary, which means the wheels will fit the studs but they might either stick-out too far or foul the inner-arches when turning.

That car, depending on engine, will have had 14" or 15" wheels as standard. I'd suggest 17"s would be a 'show' wheel, not a 'go' wheel - too heavy, to great a rotational moment (as more weight further out), and too little sidewall compliance giving a harsher ride. Depending on the car and the type of alloy, 15"s or 16"s make the best compromise for a Civic (IMHO, anyway - there will always be tuners who disagree).

This website will help you out a bit:-

hi.

thanks for that.
i was going to say..,..they just look a bit silly.
i think i will go for some 15"s or something.
is there a recommended kit to lower it with?
and also is there anyone particularly recommended for angel eyes?

Cheers

TR.

I'd be asking those sort of questions on somewhere like HondaEvolutions (Revolutions again yet?!?) or one of the Civic forums...plenty of modders and tuners there, from the casual to the serious to the Max Power types!
