Honda S2000 - Servicing

Hi all - can anyone recommend a good place in the Warwickshire area to get my S2000 serviced?

How much should the 3rd service be at Honda roughly?

Varies from dealer to dealer, however:

Service every 9k
Every 3rd (i.e. 27k) is a "major", but the 54k is a "major major" and also needs sparks done etc.

Anyway, the 9 & 18 I pay about £160.
The 27k is coming up (well, the 54k!) and I'm expecting quotes of £250-£350 but will probably get an indie I know well who will do a proper job and check everything rather than just what's on a job list.

I've always used Honda as I don't see Indy proces as being any better, although I'm not in your neck of woods unfortunately

I had the 54k/6 year service carried out at Avonvale Coventry. Cost £300 quid (I negotiated hard on the price, but agreed to have them supply and fit new S02s at the time, so that may have helped!)

They did a good job and I spoke to the master tech there in the workshop, he's a genuine bloke and restores Honda S800s in his spare time. I would certainly recommend him/that dealership.

John, I'm local to you (you live in knowle right?) and have been distinctly unimpressed by the "more local" (that gets round the name and shame shirley?), it sounds like the Coventry one is much better.

I'm also due a 54k very soon, anyone in particular i shold talk to for a good price and any names I should be dropping?

Hi there, yes I do live quite near you! I've not used the 'more local' place for any servicing but they did offer a more competitive price on the service (which I then quoted to Cov who in turn agreed to do more on the price) and a good price to extend my Honda warranty for 12 months. I'd been to the more local place for test drives before and found it very hard sell after just a short drive around the Earlswood loop.

Cov charged a very fair price for supply and fit of the tyres too, all in, 2 rears and the 54k service was about £529 IIRC. Quite recently too.

Lee Parkin and Gemma someone at Cov, their customer service is excellent and I would use them again just for that, the price of course helps!

You can tell them Michelle c's other half reccommended them to you (2002 Nurby Blue). Lee may remember me as I dealt with him mostly.
