"Old-school" Hondas are much more interesting to me. Back when they had cutting edge technology on them for the sake of engineering excellence. VTEC and double wishbones. Now they are mostly built to suit the market.
In a sense I would put the S2000 and the JDM CTR in the old school category. The S2000 is a pure sports car, the JDM CTR seems to be a return to the pure Type R concept of the first ITR.
The past two generations of UK Civics missed the mark by a long way for me. The current UK Civic is so ugly compared to the JDM Saloon.

New school all the way for me, i don't get why people want old cars. Maybe driving an uncomfortable car with no abs or power steering gives thrills i just don't understand or knowing that if you get it all wrong your brown bread appeals to some, just not me.
As i only own 1 car and drive 40k miles a year i'll take a nice new CTR.

I think most 90's hondas had ABS and power steering. As i only own 1 car and drive 40k miles a year i'll take a nice new CTR.
I dont see why an old car will be any more uncomfortable than your CTR.
However I can see why you dont want to be putting 40k on a classic honda
