Due to the damp weather and continous rain, I have noticed that both my rear lights on my 04' S2000 have started to mist up over the last week. I've taken one of the lights out and can't find any crack or splits in the seals, although they have about a spoon full of water in them... oh dear....

Has anyone else had this problem, or found a cure..

If it's goin to happen, it's goin to happen to me...

Thanks in advance

had that problem but strangely, only on lights bought on a scrappy (not so strange).

cut them open, remove all the original sealant, clean the inside of the lenses and allow to dry gently in the sun. Then re-seal properly and you should be fine.

There's a known problem with small quantities of water lingering in the base of the s2000's boot from time to time, might well be worth checking the vent that allows air to circulate into the boot for leaks as the water might well be getting in via the vent, as opposed to a bad seal.

The fix is easily enough done with a little time and patience. Details can be found in the FAQ/Newbie areas on www.s2ki.com for further concise instructions.

I fitted a secondhand one, it misted up a bit so I removed it and sat it near a radiator in the house, the re-istalled it with a small bag of the moisture absorbing crystals in one the lights for a while, ok now. I attached a length of thread to the bag so I could pull it out easily when finished with btw.
